With its’ illustrious ‘long tail’ aerodynamics, the Porsche 917 dominated the fast long straights of Le Mans, Spa and Monzaduring the late 60’s and early 70’s World Sportscar Championships.
A race inspired watch
Inspired by the daring shape of the Porche 917 Long Tail Belgian watchmaker Raidillon commissioned the design of a sportswatch that would be a tribute to the legendary car.
The watch face shows the colour scheme of one of the 917’s best known liveries. The subdials mirror the diagonal twin headlights of a sportscar that forever will be remembered for its’ elegance and cutting edge race technology.
Race fans will know that The Raidillon is the steep fast right-hander which gave the Spa-Francorchamps track one of the world’s most loved and feared corners.
