These days, using a classic straight razor to shave, is a personal statement: I am the master of my time, whatever the buzz and bustle around me. Shaving with an extremely sharp blade requires a certain craft. A craft that takes pleasure in handling a smartly redesigned tool. Not a mere tool. A timeless, luxury collectible.

Developed for Dovo Solingen, the redesign of a century old shaving tool needed insight on different levels…
How skilled craftsmen create the straight razor, and how equally skilled barbers use it every day. The razor’s design was completely deconstructed, in order to recreate the very same, but quite different. Milled from one single bloc of high-grade Titanium, the grip’s center of mass makes the razor into a perfectly balanced precision instrument. The silver metal blade is unmarked. However, each straight razor’s handle is stamped with its’ own individual production tag.
